Plans
Beanie, Sweater, and Quilt, the planned trial, and what to expect during beta.Knit's plans are Beanie, Sweater, and Quilt. A Site has one plan, shared by all its workspaces. The planned paid offer is per Site, with no per-person billing or per-use AI charges.
Knit is currently in beta. The paid offer and trial below are planned; purchasing a plan and starting a 30-day trial are not available yet. Beta plan evaluation is free, and the allowances shown in Settings → Site → Plan remain the current beta allowances.
What each plan will include
These allowances are Site-wide and may change before the final offer is approved. A person counts once across the Site, even if they belong to several workspaces. A smaller team can choose a larger plan for its higher allowances.
| Beanie | Sweater | Quilt | |
|---|---|---|---|
| People | Up to 5 | Up to 20 | Up to 50 |
| Storage | 5 GB | 25 GB | 100 GB |
| Workspaces | 2 | 5 | Unlimited |
| Page history | 90 days | One year | Full history |
Beanie is for a small shared knowledge base. Sweater adds more room for a growing team. Quilt supports more people and separate workspaces.
Page reviews are available on every plan. Editors and Admins can ask one or more teammates to review changes before publishing. Existing page approval rules are included too. See Get a review before you publish.
Every plan includes the same features: AI writing, reviews, integrations, and page history. Plans differ by people, workspaces, storage, AI usage, and history-retention allowances. Beanie currently includes 30 days of history during beta. Higher plans include larger AI writing allowances. Classification and summaries are included. Heavy writing usage can pause new drafting until the allowance renews; requests already started finish. Essential content access and privacy controls remain available across plans.
The planned 30-day trial
The planned offer has three paid plans and no permanent free tier. You will be able to purchase any plan immediately, or try Beanie for 30 days without a payment method. The trial includes every feature, with Beanie's usage allowances.
If the trial ends without a purchase, the Site will become read-only. Existing pages, images, and workspaces will stay accessible, but editing will pause. Purchasing any paid plan will restore editing with its usage allowances. You will be able to purchase during the trial or after it expires. Nothing will be charged automatically.
Content downloads are planned and are not currently available.
Choose a plan during beta
While beta plan selection is open, Site admins can evaluate the current beta plans without being charged. The current beta allowances differ from the planned allowances above; read each card before switching.
- Open Settings → Site → Plan.
- Select Try Sweater, Try Quilt, or Switch to a smaller plan.
- Read what the plan includes, then confirm Switch to and the plan's name.
Your current plan is marked Your current plan. Moving to a smaller plan never deletes existing work. Extra workspaces stay available, but you cannot add more while above the current plan's workspace allowance.

For existing beta Sites
The beta transition is separate from the planned 30-day trial. Existing beta Sites will receive their own transition terms and dates, with final terms published at least 30 days before permanent restrictions. No restriction date has been announced. Once definite Site-specific dates are established, Knit will send advance reminders.
Sites created during beta keep the launch price of their plan for two years after paid plans start. Downgrades preserve existing content and readability.
You're never charged automatically.
